Production Manager

RESPONSABILITIES

• Promote a strong health and safety culture;
• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate production-related activities;
• Develop policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to ensure optimal department functioning;
• Establish annual objectives and prepare the department’s budget;
• Set performance targets and quality standards (quality assurance and quality control);                  

• Implement key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and take corrective actions as required;
• Coach, lead, and supervise employees under their responsibility;
• Ensure compliance with the collective agreement;
• Perform any other related duties within the scope of the department’s activities.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Hold a university or college degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
• Possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities, including more than five (5) years in a Director-level position. Experience working in a unionized environment for at least five (5) years is required;
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and competencies will be considered.

 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Fluency in French, both spoken and written;
• Intermediate level of English proficiency, both spoken and written, to communicate (approximately 20% of the time) with suppliers outside Quebec, as well as with our Canadian and U.S. subsidiaries;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is considered an asset;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
