Research and Development Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Improve and monitor the innovation project portfolio.
• Analyze project needs and requests.
• Prioritize ideas, create prototypes and conduct feasibility studies.
• Plan and budget projects.
• Manage project deliveries.
• Execute and coordinate all project stages, from design through to production.
• Carry out and document required engineering analyses.
• Plan and perform validation and accreditation tests in the laboratory and at clients’ sites.
• Document project files and grant applications.
• Coordinate projects with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Help select and acquire equipment and tools to increase productivity.
• Work with the technical office on various projects.
• Ensure that our products comply with standards and certifications.
• Perform other related duties.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electromechanical) and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
• Ability to communicate in English with suppliers and research universities, and to prepare and/or facilitate meetings in English.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor software.
• Sound knowledge of the mining pump industry and the mining industry in general (an asset).
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
