Production and Road Vehicules Planner

Informations
Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the ASM and Road Vehicles Planner coordinates, creates, plans, and tracks work orders for the manufacturing of parts (ASM). The selected person is responsible for managing the fleet of road vehicles.

RESPONSABILITIES

ASM Management

  • Analyze the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system to create work orders for the manufacturing of internal parts (ASM);
  • Provide daily and weekly reports on the execution of ASMs;
  • Monitor the daily objectives chart;
  • Distribute documents and inform supervisors of the current scheduling (ASM);
  • Open preparation work orders;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Road Vehicule Manegement 

  • Analyze available unit data to plan actions to be taken and to establish the budget for the next year;
  • Evaluate the budgetary and operational requirements of Groupe Technosub to determine the necessity of acquiring a vehicle;
  • Handle requests for quotes, evaluate proposals, place vehicle orders, monitor deliveries, manage exchanges or sales, and take care of registration and insurance of acquired vehicles;
  • Ensure the follow-up of vehicle registrations, insurance, driver's licenses, and heavy vehicle operator's permits;
  • Implement the electronic logging device (ELD) system for heavy vehicles, which involves purchasing, coordinating installation, and monitoring it (keeping up with new regulations);
  • Monitor the Preventive Maintenance Programs (PMP) for heavy vehicles;
  • Analyze vehicle usage needs to determine and install necessary equipment, set up a maintenance schedule for certain equipment;
  • Establish and manage a maintenance and monitoring program for vehicles and coordinate maintenance and repair requests while providing support to internal customers;
  • Determine training needs for users and ensure follow-up (in collaboration with HR);
  • Perform any other related tasks.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a DEP or DEC in mechanics combined with two (2) years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in mechanical planning is an asset;
  • Possess two (2) years of experience in the transportation sector;
  • Any other combination of degrees and/or relevant experience will be considered.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft environment;
  • Proficiency with computer software;
  • Good knowledge and skills in mechanics, machining, and welding;
  • Knowledge of the Great Plains software is an asset;
  • Mastery of transportation regulations in Quebec;
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written, and knowledge of English or a willingness to improve it to communicate with English speakers, be they employees, partners, or colleagues from Canadian branches.
