The shipping clerk works under the supervision of the warehouse and logistics foreman. The selected person is responsible for preparing orders ready to be shipped.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Determine the shipping method and contact various carriers or clients to coordinate the shipment;
- Prepare and issue various shipping documents manually or using computer systems;
- Gather and validate the products to be shipped, ensuring they comply with the company's quality standards;
- Prepare and pack the products for shipment, and place labels and shipping documents on the finished packaging;
- Have the drivers, carriers, and various suppliers/customer service sign and return the proper documentation;
- Resolve billing and shipping issues;
- Enter and validate data in our ERP system and Excel;
- Load, unload, and move pumps, parts, and various products manually or using handling equipment;
- Perform any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Holding a High School Diploma (DES), combined with one (1) year of work experience in a similar position.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Basic knowledge of computers and Excel software;
- Experience as a forklift operator;
- Experience with slinging techniques and overhead cranes;
- Warehouse or logistics experience (an asset).
