Water Treatment Technician

Informations
Under the supervision of the Innovation and Optimization Manager, the Water Technician's main responsibility is to analyze water samples provided by clients from various industrial sectors and to provide the necessary support to project managers in solving technical problems.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Conduct various tests on water samples and issue analysis reports;
  • Experiment with different polymer combinations;
  • Train project managers on the use of measurement instruments;
  • Provide technical support to project managers in the field;
  • Participate in client meetings;
  • Apply and collaborate in the revision of quality control programs, operating procedures, and control strategies to ensure uniformity and compliance with standards regarding raw materials, products, waste, or emissions;
  • Collaborate to establish and conduct test protocols to enhance technical knowledge of our products, such as the dissolution factors of tablets;
  • Contribute to the research of new products related to Mudwizard innovation;
  • Operationalize and consolidate the chemical factors of new products;
  • Identify and share continuous improvement opportunities using the Mudwizard continuous improvement form;
  • Participate in the monthly continuous improvement committee;
  • Conduct training on certain sites;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold one of the following diplomas: a DEC in chemistry, a DEC in laboratory techniques, a DEC in mineral technology, or an equivalent certificate of study combined with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the field.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written;
  • Intermediate level of English, both spoken and written, enabling effective communication with suppliers, English-speaking clients, colleagues, as well as with our Canadian and U.S. subsidiaries. The person will be required to lead and participate in weekly meetings in English.
  • Ability to write various reports and presentations addressed to primarily Canadian, American, and occasionally international clients;
  • Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
