Maintenance planner (fixed and rolling equipment)

The maintenance planner (fixed and rolling equipment) works under the supervision of the building foreman. The selected person coordinates, plans, and ensures the follow-up of maintenance work on fixed equipment, rolling equipment, and buildings.

RESPONSABILITIES

Maintenance of fixed equipement and buildings

  • Plan the maintenance of equipment via the Guide TI maintenance management system;
  • Establish the maintenance schedule on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Keep an updated list of tasks ready to be executed;
  • Coordinate work with various internal and external stakeholders;
  • Prioritize the maintenance of production equipment according to the scheduling and ensure the availability of equipment for repairs;
  • Work closely with the production planner to coordinate tasks optimally to minimize the impact on both departments;
  • Track the performance results of equipment repairs to develop concrete actions for continuous maintenance improvement;
  • Plan with the building foreman the work to be coordinated for building management;
  • Develop performance indicators;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Rolling Stock Maintenance

  • Ensure the follow-up of vehicle registrations, insurance, driver's licenses, and heavy vehicle operator permits;
  • Implement the electronic logging device system for heavy vehicles, including acquiring the devices, coordinating their installation, and monitoring them (keeping up to date with new regulations);
  • Monitor the Preventive Maintenance Programs (PMP) for heavy and rolling vehicles;
  • Analyze vehicle usage needs to determine and install necessary equipment, establishing a maintenance schedule for specific equipment;
  • Establish and manage a maintenance and monitoring program for vehicles, coordinate maintenance and repair requests while providing support to internal clients;
  • Perform any other related tasks.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a DEC in Industrial Maintenance or any related training;
  • Have two (2) years of experience in planning management (plant or fixed or rolling equipment);
  • Possess two (2) years of experience in the transportation field (an asset);
  • Any other combination of degrees and/or relevant experience will be considered.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft environment;
  • Proficiency in computer software;
  • Good knowledge and skills in mechanics, machining, and welding;
  • Mastery of transportation regulations in Quebec;
  • Knowledge of Great Plains and Guide TI software (an asset);
  • Proficiency in French, both oral and written, and knowledge of English or an interest in improving it to communicate with Anglophones, whether employees, partners, or colleagues from Canadian.
