The Test Bench Technician reports to the Production Foreman. They play a key role in quality assurance of pumps prior to shipment. By rigorously performing performance tests, this individual validates the compliance, reliability, and quality level of the equipment, making this an essential step in ensuring that the product meets customer requirements before delivery. They are also responsible for strictly adhering to all applicable safety procedures.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Perform the installation and connection (electrical and piping) of equipment;
  • Conduct pump performance testing, including preparation, basic motor inspection, and analysis of performance curves;
  • Install equipment in the water dasin using appropriate tools;
  • Ensure the maintenance, repair, and proper operation of the test bench and its components;
  • Monitor work quality and direct compliant pumps to subsequent stages (e.g.painting);
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying production issues and proposing solutions;
  • Actively contribute to risk identification, maintaining a safe work environment, and complying with OHS standards to prevent incidents and ensure everyone’s physical safety;
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment;
  • Perform any other related duties.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Holding a diploma in electromechanics, electrical (C licence), electrotechnics, or a related field is considered an asset, combined with at least three (3) years of significant experience in a similar role. Must hold a Restricted Electrical Connection Certificate.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Knowledge of electricity, automation, and safety;
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks;
  • Basic computer skills.
